SPRINGFIELD – Leila (Burston) Sherfield, 90, formerly of Andrew Street. died Sunday in a Springfield Nursing Home. Leila was born in Edison, Georgia to the late Will Burston and Everline (Bynum). Leila resided in Springfield most of her life and was a former employee in the housekeeping department for Baystate Medical Center. She was a longtime member of the New Life Calvary Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her loving husband Norman Sherfield. She is survived by a brother Sam Burston of Decatur, a cousin Hattie Gasque of Springfield, a host of other cousins and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Monday 10:00-11:00am, the funeral will be at 11:00am at the New Life Calvary Baptist Church, 9871 Wilbraham Road, Springfield with burial in Oak Grove.
