AGAWAM – Leola L. (Heno) Martin, 85, of Cooper Street died Tuesday in Mercy Medical Center. Leola was born in Pittsfield, the daughter of George and Leah (Pelham) Heno. She lived in Springfield most of her life before moving to Agawam 10 years ago. She worked in the Building Services Department at Mercy Hospital for 15 years until her retirement in 1989. Her first husband, Harry Lorenz died in 1966 and her second husband Leonard Martin died in 1975. She leaves a son Arnold Lorenz of Feeding Hills; two daughters Dawn E. Darasz and her husband John of Feeding Hills and Carol Thomas of East Longmeadow. She also leaves four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeffrey Thomas, Matthew Picard and Kyle Lorenz and three great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held in Springfield Street Cemetery. Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
