Leopold B. Bolduc
1929 – 2011

WEST SPRINGFIELD - Leopold B. Bolduc, 81 years of age peacefully passed away Tuesday March 1, 2011 at home with his family. Leo was born in Springfield, son of late Samuel & Ida (Norman) Bolduc. He was a graduate of Springfield Trade School and Seminole Joliet in Canada. After graduation he worked as a Toolmaker and moved to West Springfield in 1953. In 1960 he and Yvette started their own business, L. B. Bolduc Trophies and Sporting Goods, the largest embroider in the Northeast supplying the NFL and NBA with apparel and the largest Matchbox distributor in the Eastern United States. After retiring in 1989 he and Yvette resided in West Springfield and Point Judith Rhode Island. Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Yvette R. (Gregoire) Bolduc; a daughter Rose Y. Blais and her husband Yvon of Feeding Hills; a son Leo C. Bolduc and his wife Nancy of Westfield. He also leaves his four grandchildren Marcel Blais of Worcester, Nicole Blais of Palm Harbor Florida, Gregoire and Danielle Bolduc of Westfield; three sisters Anita Deblois, Dorothy Drewiany, Theresa Cummings, and 17 nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by his parents Samuel & Ida (Norman) Bolduc; brothers Raymond, and Jerry and sister Joyce Hottin. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday March 4, 2011 at 1:00pm. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
