Obituary
Oct. 4th 1932 -- Nov. 5th 2016

My dying is probably a good thing. I think it has done some things for me and some friends that I would never have been able to do on my own. First, I believe I have probably the most wonderful family that any man could ever have. I am so thankful for all they gave me. They gave me every ounce of what they could give me while I was still alive. Secondly my friends, many of whom were very close; I want to thank you for adding meaning to my life. No man could be happier than I am. So, I thank you all; I love you all. I'm going to say, "So long." I'll see you when you come to meet me up there. Have a great life, live it well, and love each other please. "So long."

A Grand-daughter's thoughts…..
Leslie Elden Carpenter Jr.
Son, Husband, Father, Grandpa, & Great Grandpa.
He had many different names and he was an amazing man. He flew, he danced, he played pool, he was a woodworker, but most of all, he wrote. He wrote many books, stories, and poems. He is now where he wants to be, with my Grandma. I was only 2 when she died but my mom told her to contact us if she could. Then one time she walked past some bells and they rang without any wind. My mom asked my Grandfather to talk to us through the bells too. We all love him very much. Thank you Grandpa for being the best grandfather I ever had!
