1921 – 2013

WESTFIELD – Lillian T. (Dober) Dukette, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Mt. St. Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke. Lillian was born in Holyoke January 11, 1921 the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Gleason) Dober. She lived in Westfield most of her life before moving to Landmark Heights in West Springfield in 2007, where she leaves behind many friends that became family. She recently became a resident at Mt. St. Vincent Nursing Home. She worked at the former A&P Baker, Westfield College and Baystate Medical Center. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Westfield and the VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was a beloved Grandmother, sister and friend. She had an unconditional love for everyone and everything. Lillian most enjoyed her family, especially all her beloved grandchildren and friends. She loved pets, plants, flowers, traveling, swimming and bringing a smile to even a stranger's face. Her husband Laurel Dukette died in 1960. She leaves three sons Lyn, Lee, and Lori Dukette; many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her siblings Ellen Phoenix, Mary Hargraves, Edmund and David Gleason. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00am in the 1st Congregational Church, Broad Street, Westfield with private burial in Forestdale Cemetery.
