October 27, 1935 – May 18, 2024
Lillian A. (Brusseau) Morisset, 88, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at home. Born in Agawam, daughter of the late Alfred and Angelina (Daigle) Brusseau, she was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a 1953 graduate of Agawam High School. Lillian held several jobs over the years to support her family and was highly valued by her employers. Her most recent sales assistant positions were at Connecticut General Life Insurance Company and Cigna Healthcare and she retired from ConnectiCare Insurance. She was a lector and communicant at the former St. Theresa's Church and Sacred Heart Church. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang with the choir in many Christmas Cantatas. She was a member of the Agawam Senior Center. Her family and her faith were the most important things in her life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed travelling and loved the beauty of nature which she passed on to her children. Her favorite season was spring and she was blessed to have enjoyed one more. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Richard Morisset in 2012. She leaves three sons, Michael H. Morisset of West Springfield, Steven R. and his wife Darleen Morisset of Agawam, Keith F. and his wife Nancy Morisset of Chester, two daughters and their husbands, Patricia R. and Robert Wodell of Agawam, Christine C. and Edward Zawacki of Westhampton, her twin sister Lucille Brusseau and her sister Cecile Piquette both of Agawam, nine grandchildren, Julie Warner, Eric Morisset, Nicholas Woodburn, Lindsay Morisset, Joseph Castro, Alexander Wodell, Janine Woodburn, William Morisset, Emily Wodell, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Carolyn and the staff at Baystate Hospice for their wonderful care. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills. The burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield. Calling hours are Thursday at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 4-7pm.
