Linda L. (Cocchi) Allen, 76, and long-time resident of Feeding Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Linda was born in Springfield on November 25, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Lena T. (Cattoni) Cocchi.  Linda was a 1965 graduate of Commerce High School, in Springfield. After high school, Linda went on to obtain her designation as a Registered Nurse, attending the former Mercy Hospital nursing certificate program. Linda spent the majority of her professional career having worked as Registered Nurse at the Ring Nursing Homes, where she was widely known for her empathetic and compassionate care of the residents at the nursing home. As a result of her service and hard work as a practicing nurse, she was offered a managerial position in the Human Resources department at Ring Nursing Homes, where she successfully served in that capacity until her retirement in 2003.  Linda leaves her husband of fifty-six years, Ronald J. Allen, two children and their families, Andrew Allen and his wife Denise, of Southwick, Amy (Allen) Hunleth and her husband Dieter, of Suffield, CT., her five beloved grandchildren, Zachary Hunleth, Andrew Allen Jr., Alex Hunleth, Matthew Allen and Marina Hunleth. Linda also leaves a sister, Dorothy DiVenuto and her husband, Michael of Agawam. Family and friends are invited to the calling hour on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10 – 11am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11.
