Linda A. Slate

1940 – 2020

Agawam – Linda A. Slate, 80, died Saturday in a local nursing home.  Linda was born in Springfield, daughter of late Ames and Helene (Trombley) Slate and has lived in Agawam all her life.  She worked in the Meat Department at Food Mart for many years.  She leaves her siblings Judy Mckay, Gail Stone, Ralph, Roger, Peter, and Gary Slate, many loving nieces and nephews and her dear friend Mary Raffinetti.  Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by two brothers Ames and Robert Slate.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday from 9:30 – 11:00am followed by a funeral home service starting at 11:00am.  (All covid-19 restrictions will be in place)  A private burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Exposition Area Scholarship Fund, P.O.
