Lisa A. Quaglini

1959 – 2020

West Springfield – Lisa Ann Quaglini, 61, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Mother's Day, May 10, 2020.  Lisa fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for over 2 years before being called home to Heaven.  Lisa was the daughter of Diane (Chicketti) Quaglini, of West Springfield and the late Paul Quaglini of Corinth, Vermont. Lisa lived in West Springfield her entire life.  She attended Special Education classes in West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School in 1981. She attended the Work Opportunity Center in Agawam for many years.  Since June 2009 Lisa attended the Baraco-Wayside day program in West Springfield where she enjoyed the company of her wonderful and dedicated staff and many special friends.  Lisa loved music, dancing, and gatherings with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed her activities at UNICO and MCS.  Lisa was a sweet, kind, funny, and gentle soul who touched the lives of all that met her Lisa leaves behind her mother Diane (Chicketti) Quaglini; three sisters Vicki J. Quaglini-Arnold, of Agawam; Karen M. Gamelli, of West Springfield; and Donna J. Anderson, and brother-in-law Peter R. Anderson, of Russell; three nieces Hilary and Amelia Anderson and Aubrey Gamelli.  She also leaves behind her Aunt Josephine Raimer, her Uncle Michael Chicketti, many cousins, and her home care assistants.  Lisa was predeceased by her father Paul Quaglini, her sister Sandra M. Quaglini, and her grandparents Mary & Michael Chicketti and Anne & Angelo Quaglini.  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. A Memorial celebration of Lisa's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JERICO - Bureau for Exceptional Children, Holyoke Chapter or UNICO of W.Spfld, or a charity of one's choice.  For more details or online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
