Lorraine H. Davis

West Springfield - Lorraine (Haarmann) Davis, 80, of Morgan Road, widow of the late Clinton Charles Davis Jr., was called peacefully home on April 22. She passed into eternal rest and life at home surrounded by her dedicated family and caregivers. Born in Springfield on May 22, 1930, she was raised in Springfield and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. In 2010 at age 80, she retired from the Council of Churches in which she dedicated her time to helping people in need. Lorraine leaves behind her sister, Claire O'Connor of Suffield. She also leaves her seven loving children: Cheryl Lutz (deceased), Suzan Davis of Derry, NH, Judith Condino and her husband Alan of San Diego, CA, Clinton Charles Davis III of Springfield, Stuart Davis and his wife Cindy Zielenski Davis of Suffield, Joseph Davis and his wife Julia Davis, of West Springfield and Jenny Davis of Springfield. Her 10 grandchildren: Eric and Beth Lutz, Jay Davis and his wife Nicole, Katie, Justin and Fallon Condino, Jackson Davis, Evan Craig and Elijah and Noah Saez. Her many beloved great grand children, Jenna, Alexis, Elise Condino, Gibson Puckett and Shelby and Maddy Davis along with many nephews and nieces. Lorraine was predeceased by her sisters Rita Sullivan, Florence Schebel and her brother Frannie Haarmann. Growing up her children fondly remember Lorraine always taking in stray cats and dogs. Her faithful "kitty" of 20 years didn't leave her side as she passed at home. She also loved bird watching and feeding "her" birds. She greatly enjoyed her 80th birthday bash held in May of 2010 while surrounded by friends and family. A gathering for friends and family will be held at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street on Sunday May 1st at 2:00pm followed by a service at 3:30pm For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
