Lorraine H. Paro

1932 – 2020

AGAWAM – Lorraine H. (Cusson) Paro, 87, died peacefully Tuesday morning surrounded by her loving family.  Lorraine was born in Bellingham, MA, the daughter of Joseph O. and Ruth (Pleau) Cusson. She has lived in Agawam all of her life.  She was pre-deceased by her four brothers and two sisters. Lorraine was an active member of the Pioneer Valley Quilter's Club and the West Springfield Fish & Game Club.  Her husband of 62 years, Lawrence G. Paro died in 2017.  Lorraine enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing.  She worked for many years at Take Five restaurant where she was known for the delicious pies she made.  She created beautiful quilts that she gifted to friends and family.  She leaves three children, Gary S. Paro and his wife Marilyn, Dawn R. Terrill, and Kevin E. Paro and his wife Christine; three sisters-in-law Edna Shibley, Phyllis Cusson and Rose Cusson; four grandchildren, Laura, Michelle, Surina and Kyle; and six great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at noon, with private burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service on Thursday from 11:00am – 12:00 Noon.
