Obituary

Louis A. Catjakis, 31, entered into eternal rest on October 25, 2021, after a motorcycle accident in Sarasota, FL. Born in Springfield, he attended Agawam High School until the eleventh grade and was granted early acceptance to attend Johnson & Wales University to pursue his love of cooking, where he received credit to graduate from Agawam High School as well as earning college credits. While attending Johnson & Wales, he was recruited by the United States Marine Corp in 2008 and served until 2011.  He attained the rank of Private First Class and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan, where he served his country honorably. Anyone who knew Louis, knew he loved anything that went fast.  He loved quads, snowmobiles, jet skis and motorcycles. Louis loved drawing and was a very talented sketch artist. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Louis Pallotta. He leaves his wife, Brittany Piurowski Catjakis, his son, Noah A. Catjakis, his mother, Ann Marie Pallotta, his father and his wife, Christopher and Sue Ann Catjakis, along with her daughters, his paternal grandparents, Athan Soco and Helen Catjakis, his maternal grandmother, Virginia Pallotta, his aunts and uncles, Charles and Gail Catjakis, Vincent and Deana Pallotta, Donna and William Pawlin, Joanne and Shane O'Hara and many cousins.  Calling hours will be Monday, from 11:30am-1pm at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills followed by a Mass at 1pm. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toys for Tots at https://westernmass.toysfortots.org .
