Louis F. Pugliano, 99, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the VA Community Living Center in Leeds. Born in West Springfield, son of the late Frank and Fannie (Ortolani) Pugliano, he was a 1944 graduate of West Springfield High School where he was all-western Mass in football, hockey and baseball and lived in West Springfield most of his life. He also lived in Agawam, Longmeadow and spent many winters in Florida. Louis was the owner of the former Monte Carlo Restaurant in West Springfield for over fifty years. He had played hockey for the Senior Olympics and was a World War II army veteran and when he returned from the army, he played professional hockey in New Haven. He leaves his children, Lois M. Rossi, Rose and her husband Norman LaFleur all of Coconut Creek, FL, Frank Peter and his wife Rose Pugliano of Milford, MA, John Pugliano of Chicopee, Frank Louis and his wife Tanya Pugliano of Agawam, two brothers, Frank Pugliano of Leeds, Frederick "Teddy" and his wife Ernestine "Ernie" Pugliano of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Anna Pugliano. The burial will be private. For online condolences, please visit www.curranjones.com
