Lyle A. Chadwick
1918 – 2011
AGAWAM – Lyle A. Chadwick, 93, of Main Street died Friday evening in Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Lyle was born April 22, 1918 in Montpelier, VT and had lived in Springfield and East Otis before recently moving to Agawam. He was a retired tool and die maker for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT. Upon graduating from the Southern New England Bible Institute in 1953, Lyle served as lay leader in Willimantic and Manchester, CT - he and his wife joined Bethany Assembly of God Church in Agawam in June of 1969 where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Trustee of the Church Property. He leaves his wife of 71 years Glenyth (White) Chadwick; two sons, Neil E. Chadwick and his wife Gunnel of Pitman, NJ and Brent N. Chadwick and his wife Robin of East Otis; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters: Joan A. Newbert in 1967 and Drusilla L. Chadwick in 1950. The funeral will be held in the main sanctuary of Bethany Assembly of God Church on Thursday at 3:30pm. Visiting hours will be held in the Fireplace Room at the church prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 pm and the burial will take place in Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene, NH at noon on Friday.
