Lynn Fitzpatrick Smyth, 72, of West Springfield, MA, passed away on Friday, May, 22, 2026 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born on March 31, 1954 to Joseph and Irene (Whiteley) Fitzpatrick in Hartford, CT. After graduating from Windsor Locks High School in 1972, she went on to work for over 20 years at Hamilton Standard. On October 17, 1987 she married Dwayne and together they built a life in West Springfield, MA. Lynn's special place was her home. She took great care and pride in decorating and hosting events for her family and close friends. Lynn was a nurturer by trade; she was known for being a second mom to her younger siblings. She also made a home for her mom for many years. Lynn loved her pets; together she and Dwayne raised a small army of cats and dogs each one holding a special place in their hearts. Lynn touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her husband Dwayne A. Smyth of West Springfield, her mother Irene (Whiteley) Fitzpatrick of Windsor Locks, CT and siblings Renee McNamara of Windsor Locks, Kaleen Knickerbocker of Vernon, CT, JoAnn Mauro of Old Lyme, CT and Joseph Fitzpatrick, Jr. of Belchertown, MA.
