Obituary

Mabel (Felio) Collins Wilder, 101 died surrounded by her
loving family on March 22nd. She was born in Holyoke to John and Maude
(McNeil) Felio. She grew up in Fairview and Springfield where she graduated
from Commerce High School. Mabel worked at the Hall Gallery before marrying
Bradford R. Collins. Mabel is predeceased by her twin sister Marjorie
Larkin, her older sister Ruth Hurst and her two younger brothers: Richard
and Charles Felio and by her two husbands Bradford Collins and Everett
Wilder. Mabel raised her six children in West Springfield. She is survived
by her children and their spouses: Dr. Bradford and Stacy (Millner), Ronald
and Martha (Moylan); Nancy Collins; Marjorie and Richard Bruns; Roxanne and
George Phillips; and Dr. Craig and Denise (Doyle) and by her stepchildren:
Anne Borg and Charles Wilder and their spouses. Grandma Mabel was an
inspiration to her 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great
great grandchildren. Mabel loved to make things beautiful. She was an
artist, an enthusiastic gardener, a church volunteer and a world traveler.
She loved playing games and entertaining. She will be missed by her friends
at the American Inn in Southwick. Mabel had a wonderfully positive attitude
towards life. She led a full life and considered herself blessed. A memorial
service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Westfield on
April 1, 2017 at 11:00am. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is
