Mable J. Alessi

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Mable Jeannette (Bengle) Alessi, 89, of Smith Avenue died Saturday at home surrounded by her loving family. Mable was born in Palmer, grew up in Westfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life. She was a retired seamstress for Lauren's Sportswear and had previously worked at U.S. Envelope and Donut Dip. Her husband Peter A. Alessi died in 1993. She leaves three children Dorothy Alessi, Jean Beattie and Peter A. Alessi Jr.; a brother Donald Bengle; a sister Agnes Rexer and four grandchildren Mathew and John Loncrini, Monica Puethuff and Lindsey Alessi. Besides her husband Mable was predeceased by a daughter Nancy Loncrini. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Wednesday at 11:00am.
