Manfredo "Freddy" Cortes

Springfield- Manfredo "Freddy" Cortes, passed away Saturday surrounded by his loving family and friends. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Abigail Cortes, daughter Margarita Camacho, son Wilfredo Cortes and his wife Marisol Cruz-Cortes, four grandchildren Amanda Camacho, Victoria, Samantha, and Kimberly Cortes, all of Springfield, four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Maddisyn, Ethan, and Jacob, a brother from Springfield, and two sisters from Puerto Rico. He was a retired machine operator of 39 yrs for National Meadows Industry. After retirement he worked part time for Appleton Security. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was deeply loved and cherished by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. The funeral will be Thursday at 9 am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in All Souls Church at 10am. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 pm.
