Chatham-Margaret V. (Jocelyn) Lawler, 96, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Alexander and Alma (Perrault) Jocelyn and lived the majority of her life in Chatham, MA. She was the retired buyer of jewelry, handbags, and accessories for the former Forbes and Wallace Department Stores. Peg loved the beach, baking cookies, gardening, volunteering at the Cape Cod Hospital and enjoying her house in Chatham. She was a member of the Garden Club in Chatham, the Hyannis Yacht Club and the Riverbay Association. Peg was predeceased by her husband William Lawler, brother Herbert Jocelyn, sisters Ruth and Eunice and her nephew John Godfrey. She leaves her nephew Stephen Jocelyn and his wife Cathy of Westfield, nieces Carreen Callahan and her husband Richard of Edgartown, MA, Kathy Doe and her husband Jeff of East Longmeadow , Barbara Jocelyn of Boston, Laureen Godfrey of East Longmeadow and several great nieces and nephews.
