CHICOPEE – Margaret E. "Peggy" (Paolino) Shibley, 71, died Friday, August 1, 2014, at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, to the late Albert and Margaret (Sullivan) Paolino and lived in both Springfield and Agawam before moving to Chicopee in 1976. Peggy was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald, in 2011. Peggy enjoyed her trips to the casino with her sister Jean and completing word-searches. She leaves behind her sister, Jean Michaud of Chicopee, her sister-in-law, AnneMarie Paolino of Springfield, as well as several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Peggy was predeceased by her brothers John in 2000 and Edward in 2007. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and staff of Baystate Medical Center for the wonderful care, compassion and kindness given to Peggy and her family during the last month. The funeral will be Tuesday, August 5th at 11 am at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery in Agawam. A calling hour will precede the funeral on Tuesday from 10-11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104
