Margherita Mancinone
1934 – 2015
AGAWAM – Margherita (Paglia) Mancinone, 80, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 15, 1934, in Priverno, Province of Latina, Italy and was the daughter of the late Ciriaco and Rosa (Reali) Paglia. She immigrated to the United States in 1961, having married the late Silvio Mancinone in Italy. A communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Margherita also enjoyed a wonderful experience with St. Anthony Maronite Church in Springfield. Her husband, Silvio Mancinone died in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Molta and her husband, Dean Molta of Agawam, and her son, Paul Mancinone and his wife Anna (Scuderi) Mancinone of Suffield, CT. Margherita is also survived by her four grandchildren, Bianca, Marija and Max Molta of Agawam and Donatella Mancinone of Suffield, CT, along with her brother, Dr. Alessandro Paglia of Lido di Venezia, Italy and Giovanni Paglia of Rome, Italy. She was predeceased by her brother, Bruno Paglia. The funeral will be Monday at 9am from the WEST SPRINGFIELD CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 Main Street with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 11. The burial will follow in Agawam Center Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 – 10:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in honor of Margherita Mancinone to the Agawam Senior Center, 954 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
