Maria "Pina" (Tripodi) Dotson, 82, died Friday at Baystate Medical Center. She came to this country in her early 30's and met her husband on her voyage here. She worked for many years at the Monte Carlo Restaurant and also for Baystate Medical Center in the cafeteria. Her passion was her family. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert W. Dotson in 2013. She leaves two daughters, Sabrina Capaccio and her fiance Tim Bergeron of West Springfield, Daniela Pratt and her husband Daniel of Glastonbury, CT a sister Angelina Tripodi of Italy, grandchildren Cameron and Mia Capaccio, and Olivia and Gianna Canevari, and many extended family members both in the USA and in Italy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
