SPRINGFIELD - Maria E. Torres, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 3, 2015. Born April 2, 1943, in Comerio, Puerto Rico, she relocated to Springfield in the 60's, and married the love of her life, Angelo Torres. Angelo died in 1991. Maria is survived by six children, Carlos, Ruben, Adam, Evelyn, Yolanda, and Angel Torres, and 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children. She was the sister of Felicita and Hipolito Baez, and Modesta Feliciano, and the late Benigno, Pedro, and Chua Baez, Julia Torres, and Sofia Gonzalez. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7pm at Curran-Jones Funeral Home on Main St. in West Springfield. The funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10 at All Souls Church, 445 Plainfield St. in Springfield and burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
