Marie (Nanck) Brinkmann
1918 – 2011

EAST LONGMEADOW – Marie (Nanck) Brinkmann, 93, of Benton Drive died Thursday at home surrounded by her family. Marie was born and raised in New York City. She lived in Longmeadow most of her adult life. She was a graduate of New York University and longtime member of First Church of Christ in Longmeadow. She volunteered at Baystate Medical Center. She enjoyed attending and planning parties. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Brinkmann, in 2000. She leaves four children and their spouses, Helaine and Joseph Smelstor of Agawam, Barbu and Robert LaFlamme of High Point, NC., Charles and Valerie Brinkmann of Longmeadow, and Nanck and Holly Brinkmann of Agawam. She also leaves twelve grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. The funeral will be held in the First Church of Christ, 763 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow Monday July 25, 2011 at 11:00am followed by burial in Longmeadow Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
