Marie G. (Allen) Fortier, 85, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Raymond E. and Pauline (French) Allen, she lived in West Springfield for many years and was a 1949 graduate of West Springfield High School.  Marie worked for the Eastern States Farmer's Exchange, now Agway, Inc., from 1949 until 1987, retiring on Jan. 1, 1987 from Syracuse, NY. She moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 1988 and was a member of the Port Charlotte Golf Club.  She moved to Agawam in 2012 and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a past president of the Catholic Women's Club.  She married Arthur Blair Fortier in 1953 and he predeceased her in 2009.  She leaves two nieces, Donna Pisano of Feeding Hills and Susan Allen of Southwick.  The funeral will be Wednesday at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main Street with a private burial. Calling hours will precede the service at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street on Wednesday from 9-10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
