Marie T. Prova

1933 – 2020

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Marie T. (Boido) Prova, 86, died peacefully Thursday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.  Marie was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Aurello and Louise (Pagella) Boido and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She worked for 25 years as a salesclerk with Sears.  After retiring in 1998,  Marie and Pro enjoyed wintering at their home in Florida.  She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great granddaughters.  Marie loved to host regular family get togethers and her delicious pies will be missed by many.  She also enjoyed going out to monthly dinners with friends and attending "Deadline Gang Reunions".  Her husband Stanley J. Prova died in 2005.  She leaves two sons Kenneth Prova, David Prova and his wife Debbie, her granddaughter Andrea Hearn and her husband Chris; three great granddaughters Colleen, Alice and Robin and a brother Arnold Boido.  Besides her parents and husband, Marie was predeceased by a grandson Joe Prova and her brother Libby Boido.  The family wants to thank the staff at Heritage Hall West for their loving care and compassion.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
