Mario E. Frare, 86, of Agawam, MA, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.  Born in Vittorio Veneto, Italy on September 13, 1931, he was the son of Beniamino and Ottorina Frare.  In 1967 Mario traveled to the United States with his wife and three children to create a better life for his family.  He had an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to learn new trades and in 1975 he started his own tile installation business, the Mario Frare Tile Company.  In 1988 he opened Cortina Tile which remains in business with his family today.  Mario was a big sports fan with his favorite team being the Italian soccer club AC Milan.  He sponsored youth teams and believed in supporting his community.  He was an avid reader and loved all history and geography, but most of all he loved his family.  Mario leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Elsa (Rossi) Frare; his three children, Franco and wife Phyllis of Suffield, CT, Fiorella of Agawam, MA, and Daniele and wife Fernanda of Westfield, MA; six grandchildren, Daniel and wife Erin, Mario, Joseph, Mateo, Julian, and Mia; faithful companion, Coco; and many nieces and nephews in Italy.  He was predeceased by his five siblings Aldo, Angelo, Giuseppe, Corinna, and Benito.  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home with Liturgy in St. John the Evangelist Church followed by burial in St.Thomas Cemetery.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club, 615 Main St. West Springfield, MA 01089.
