Mark Robert Belcher, 60, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 27, 2026 after losing his battle with depression and anxiety. Born in Springfield, son of the late Bernard and Gladys (LaMountain) Belcher, he grew up in Southwick and was a graduate of Southwick High School.  Mark lived in Florida for over twenty years, where he was a chef and bartender at area restaurants.  He moved back to Springfield five years ago.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Bernard "Butch" Belcher, four sisters, Frances Freeman, Judith Sarnelli, Jeanne Champigny and Shirley Jewell.  He leaves a daughter, Haley Kennedy of Florida, two sisters, Donna Lofgren of Springfield, Eva Belcher of Agawam, a brother, Barry Belcher of Agawam, and countless nieces and nephews and many friends.  A Celebration of Mark's life will be with an open house on Sunday, June 14 2026 from 10am to 4pm at 131 Magnolia Terrace in Springfield so family and friends can stop in and pay their respects to the family.  Donations in Mark's memory may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at namimass.org
