Mark J. Landry Jr.

1945 – 2018

West Springfield – Mark J. Landry (aka " Mr. Santa") of Main Street died Sunday in Noble Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  Mark was born in New Haven, CT and has lived in West Springfield for the past 50 years.  He was a roofer for the Roofers & Slaters Union #428.  He was known as "Mr. Santa", was a 4 ^th Degree with the Knights of Columbus and member of the Verdi Club.  An avid biker he loved hunting, working in his yard, hanging out with friends and cookouts.  His son Mark J. Landry III died last year.  He leaves three daughters Shirley A. Landry, Mary A. Landry and Catherine E. Welch; a brother Donald and three grandchildren.  Besides his son, Mark was predeceased by two brothers Ed and Roger and a sister Marie Blair.  A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 9 ^th 1:00pm at the Verdi Club.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to "Donate to Life".
