Mary Bara

WEST SPRINGFIELD - Mary (Brozini) Bara, 79, of Annie's Way died Tuesday in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life. She was a 1955 graduate of West Springfield and received her nursing degree from Western Mass Hospital. She worked for many years as an LPN at Providence Hospital and for the former Riverdale Garden's Nursing Home and Wingate of West Springfield. Her husband Donald Bara died in 1990. She leaves four children Susan Lagoy and her husband Paul, Dianne Broderick and her husband David, Lynne McDonnell and her husband Patrick and Michael Bara and his fiancé Christina Vincent. She also leaves her siblings Felicia Denucci, Carmino and Marino Biagini and Vincent Brozini; eight grandchildren Jeffrey, Janine, Joshua, Christopher, Bailey, Erin, Rachael and Sean and four great grandchildren Janiya, Mia, Leah and Jordyn. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
