Mary A. Fahey

1925 – 2021

West Springfield – Mary A. (Daly) Fahey, 95, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  Mary was born in Holyoke, grew up in Ireland and returned back to the United States in 1950, settling in West Springfield.  She worked for the West Springfield Department of Education for many years and was a longtime communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church.  Her husband Thomas L. Fahey died in 2003.  She leaves a son Neil; daughters Eileen Hourihan, Patricia Fahey, and Margaret Landry; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by a son Thomas and daughter Mary Fahey.   The family would like to thank Mary's caregivers, Rose, Sue and Izzy as well as family and friends who have taken care of Mary over the last five years.  Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for the Liturgy of Christian Burial Friday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westfield.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice or St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
