South Hadley – Mary Jane (Salamon) Follett, 84 of South Hadley died Monday October 22, 2018 in Concord, NH surrounded by her loving daughter Jane and son-in-law Bob. Born in Northampton to the late Mary (Salamon) Marney, Mary Jane attended Northampton schools and graduated from Holyoke Hospital School of Nursing. Mary Jane held nursing positions at Holyoke Hospital and Providence Hospital and finished her nursing career as head nurse on 4 East at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. She was predeceased by her son James "Jim" Follett and their beloved dog Baby. She is survived by her daughter Jane Skoog and husband Robert of Concord, NH as well as her best friend Roberta Daglian and her husband Neshan of South Hadley; sister Harriet Abrams and husband Johnnie of Waco KY, brother-in-law Gus O'Grady, beloved aunts and uncles from Taunton, MA as well as many friends. She was also "GMJ" to her special Hannele Elan and her husband Mitch of CA. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, Saturday October 27, 2018 at 10:00am followed by burial in Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers Mary Jane has requested that donations be made to the Village Cemetery 202 Lathrop Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
