Mary C. Lemieux

1937 – 2024

West Springfield – Mary C. (Morrissey) Lemieux, 87, died peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by her loving family.  Mary was born in Northampton, daughter of the late George and Loretta "Mamie"(Ryan) Morrissey, and has lived in West Springfield for the past 60 years. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Heritage Hall Nursing home, retiring in 2004 after 30 years.  Mary was a two-time breast cancer survivor.  An avid reader, Mary spent time volunteering at the West Springfield Library.  Her husband Norman L. Lemieux died in 2007.  She leaves her son Michael Lemieux, and daughter Suzanne Lemieux and partner George. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Robert Morrissey. She also leaves behind her sister-in law Nancy Morrissey of Virginia. And many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later.
