Mary C. (Lemaire) Mikszewski, 90, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 30, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, daughter of the late Roland and Beatrice (Rivet) Lemaire, she lived in Chicopee and was a 1942 graduate of Chicopee High School. She moved to Agawam in 1957. Mary was a retired underwriter for Monarch Life Insurance Company where she worked for many years before retiring in 1986. Previously she worked for the former Valley Bank and the former Forbes & Wallace Department store. She was a New England Patriots enthusiast, a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. Mary loved to garden and work in her yard. Her husband, John H. Mikszewski died in 1981. She leaves two sons, John C. Mikszewski and his wife Anne of King George, VA, Jerold Mikszewski, MD and his wife Katherine S. Mikszewski of Seattle, WA, a daughter, Karen M. McNamara and her husband Larry of Wolcott, CT, a sister, Elaine Niquette and her husband George of the Fairview section of Chicopee, five grandchildren, Larry McNamara, Jr., Shawn McNamara, Jessica Snyder, Alexander Mikszewski, Katherine Rest, and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9am from the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10.
