BELCHERTOWN - Mary A. (Russo) Scott, 94, passed away peacefully March 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 22,  1928 to the late Luca and Carmela Russo. Mary was raised in West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School. She went to work at the former West Side Freight Company where she met the love of her life, Russell Scott. Soon after their marriage, Mary moved to Agawam  where she raised her family. In the early 1970's Mary re-entered the workforce and spent nearly 20 years at WestBank. She enjoyed spending valuable time with family and friends, playing cards, games, doing puzzles, and traveling throughout the United States, especially to national  parks, Florida and Canada. Mary was predeceased by her husband Russell Scott Sr., in 1999. She leaves her loving children; Russell Scott Jr., and his wife Denise of Belchertown, William Scott and his wife Celeste of Sunderland and Jacqueline Moreno and her husband Victor of Granby, her four grandsons and seven great grandchildren and her sisterin-law Rosa Russo and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was also predeceased by her brothers Patrick, Joseph and Albert Russo and sisters Margaret McCarron, Florence Cote and Rose O'Neill. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:30 AM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 10 AM at the CURRANJONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD.
