Mary C. Shea
1916 – 2016

Feeding Hills-Mary C. (Weber) McDonnell Shea, 99, died Tuesday in Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rock Falls, IL. lived most of her life in West Springfield before moving to Feeding Hills in 1988. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, she was co-owner of the former Hotel McDonnell and Melody Bar in West Springfield and worked as a nurse's aide at the former Providence Hospital in Holyoke for many years. She was predeceased by her first husband Eugene McDonnell, her second husband Raymond Shea and a son Daniel J. McDonnell. She leaves her children James R. McDonnell of Springfield, Noreen Landes and Jeanette Bishop both of Agawam, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. A memorial mass will be held Monday at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills. There are no calling hours and the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
