Mary A. Willett Osgood
1919 – 2011

AGAWAM – Mary A. (Ambrose) Willett Osgood, 92, died Wednesday at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Springfield, graduated from Cathedral High School and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills. While living in Springfield she was a longtime member of the Holy Name Rosary Alter Society. Mary was an avid candlepin bowler and often competed on TV. Her first husband Donald Willett died in 1966 and her second husband Leland R. Osgood died in 1991. She leaves a son Donald Willett of Medina, OH, three daughters Diane Knapik of Brimfield, Deborah Eaton and Dottie Gallo both of Feeding Hills. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Cindy, Eric, Jenn, Patty, Laura, Andrew, Sara and Sherri, seven great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Besides her husbands she was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Mayo and Estelle Brell and her grandson Jason. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral Saturday morning from 9:00 – 10:00am.
