Matthew W. Kochanowski

STOCKBRIDGE – Matthew W. Kochanowski, 51, of Lukeman Lane died Wednesday in Berkshire Medical Center. Matt was born in Springfield, grew up in Longmeadow and had lived in Belchertown before moving to Stockbridge a few years ago. In 1989 he and his brother opened O.K. Pet Supply in Indian Orchard. Matt ran the business successfully until it was sold and opened Pet Supplies Plus in Albany, NY. He was a member of the Young President Orginzation. The most important thing to Matt was his family and friends. He enjoyed camping with family and friends, riding his Harley, and snowmobiling. He leaves his wife of 22 years Holly (Boudreau) Kochanowski; a son Justin of Albany; two daughters Jacqueline Kochanowski of Springfield and Laura Kochanowski of Stockbridge; two brothers John and his wife Janet of Avon, CT and Peter and his wife Doreen of Wilbraham and his sister-in-law Michele Boudreau of Pittsfield. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:00pm followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
