Maureen T. Lutat

1958 – 2018

West Springfield – Maureen T. (Shea) Lutat, 60, died peacefully at home Monday surrounded by her loving family. Maureen was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She was a graduate of West Springfield High School and graduated magna cum laude from AIC with her master's degree in Criminal Justice and a double minor in Psychology and Sociology. Maureen started her career as an Outreach Counselor for The Key Program in Springfield and worked as a Case Coordinator at the Center for Human Development before becoming the Supervisor of Attendance for the West Springfield School System and ultimately with Chicopee Public Schools.  She leaves her husband Edwin Lutat; two daughters Naura and Kelsey; a brother Frederick, and two sisters; Eileen Allen-Lutat and Catherine Grady.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday from 4-7pm with a funeral home service the following morning at 11am Saturday.  The burial will take place in St. Thomas Cemetery.  For more details please visit curranjones.com .  Maureen was passionate about her career in social work and helping children in need.
