Michael J. Cordi, 65, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, son of the late Rosario and Evelyn (Martin) Cordi, he was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a 1969 graduate of Agawam High School. Michael had worked for Southworth Paper and previously worked for the former Agawam Public Market and Calabrese Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and loved animals. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He leaves his sister, Frances M. Cordi, his longtime friend, Bobby Jesse both of Agawam, and an uncle, Frank Vaillancourt of Vermont. Relatives and friends are invited for a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main Street followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours and CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME is in charge.
