Obituary

Michael Jay Robbins was born in September of 1962 and grew up in Chicopee where he graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1980. He spent many wonderful summers in Otis with his family. Mike loved hiking in the woods and taking endless walks on the beach, reveling in every bit of life that he saw. He was also an avid reader and expert storyteller and loved his science fiction. His capacity for kindness, caring, love and laughter is the true success of his life. Mike passed with dignity in the loving arms of his soul mate on June 16th. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Dorothy Robbins, and his younger brother Jeremy. He is survived by his father Richard Robbins, his older brother Rick Robbins and his brother and dart partner Mark Robbins, his dear younger sister Tracy and her husband Rick Choiunard, his pride and joy were his two sons, Noah and Michael with his partner Tiana Brown and their two children Michael and Mia whome he adored and loved bringing them treats. He also leaves behind his ever-loving partner Debbie Olson and her daughter Melissa Shepardson, who he love like his own, his greatly loved nephew and nieces, extended family, friends and wonderful coworkers. He wished a happy life for his loved ones and we will joyfully meet him again someday to see that incredible smile and those sparkling blue eyes. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Hadley Young Men's Club on Friday July 8th at 5 p.m. "With your chrome heart shining in the sun, long may you run." CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
