WEST SPRINGFIELD- Mollie A. (Mendrala) Pajak, 77 died Thursday November 4, 2010 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Mollie was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Mendrala, grew up in Chicopee, attended Chicopee High School and has lived in West Springfield for most of her married life. She worked for the West Springfield Public School System as a manager for the school cafeteria. She also worked for Gregory's Pizza Pub as an accountant. Mollie enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports, Foxwoods, Maine, Bahamas, camping, gardening boating, gatherings with family and friends and going out on Tuesday nights with her girlfriends. Her husband Edward Pajak predeceased her in 2005. She leaves one son Robert and his wife Kathleen of Springfield; two daughters and their husbands, Melanie Butler and Patrick of West Springfield, Laurie Svec and Thomas of West Springfield, three brothers Robert of Chicopee, George of West Springfield, Michael of Texas, two sisters Gladys Zoladz of Tennessee and Alfreda Lefebvre of Belchertown and her former daughter in law Elizabeth Pajak. Her brother Edward predeceased her. Mollie also leaves 7 grandchildren: Patrick, Amanda and Zachary Butler, Devin and Jilllian Svec, and Robert and Amy Pajak. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 9 am followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church West Springfield at 10 am with burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday 4-7 pm. The family wishes to thank all of our family and friends for the love and support you have given.
