WEST SPRINGFIELD – Murray Shulman, 74 of Ohio Avenue died Tuesday in Mercy Medical Center. Murray was born and raised in Philadelphia and has lived in West Springfield since 1985. He was a 1962 graduate of Norwich University and received his Jurist Doctorate from Suffolk University in 1969. He started practicing law in Springfield with the law firm of Efrem Gordon before starting his own law firm, which he moved to West Springfield in 1985. Murray was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the Armor Division of the United States Army. He leaves his wife Jane M. (Augusti) Shulman; a daughter Theresa Rivers and her husband John of West Springfield; a sister Shirley Braverman and a granddaughter Haley Rivers. A private graveside service will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
