Nancy A. (Maksin) Herrick, 80, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she lived in South Hadley since 1965. Nancy had worked as the manager of the Gift & Coffee Shop at Holyoke Medical Center before she retired. She was the past president of the South Hadley Ladie's Club, a volunteer at the South Hadley Senior Center and a member and former secretary at St. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Springfield. Nancy was a foster parent for many years, and avid sewer, and a world traveler. She was a very giving person and enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Her husband, Michael C. Herrick died in 2007. She leaves three daughters, Alison A. and her husband, William Wallace of Franklin, MA, Sally A. Herrick of Wakefield, MA, Heidi A. Herrick-Lynn and her husband, Terence Lynn of Bayonne, NJ, and five grandchildren, Emily Wallace and Evan Wallace of Franklin, and Julia Lynn, Sophia Lynn and Tristan Lynn of Bayonne, NJ. She was predeceased by three brothers, James Maksin, Robert Maksin and Francis Maksin. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 am from the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street with a service at 10 in St. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 118 Carew Street, Springfield, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery in South Hadley.
