Nancy E. Lane

West Springfield – Nancy E. (Green) Lane, of Bretton Road died peacefully Wednesday March 17th surrounded by her loving family.  Nancy was born in Springfield, grew up in Agawam, and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She worked briefly as a real estate agent for the Green & Green Real Estate Company in West Springfield but spent most of her time as a loving Mother and Wife for her family.  Her husband William H. Lane died two weeks ago, and her son Bill Lane died in 2000.  She leaves a son Michael and his wife Kristine; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Heather, and Megan; great grandchildren Nelson, Anthony, and Tessa; and her brother Thomas and his wife Betty.  Besides her husband and son, she was predeceased by her siblings, Joanne Maynard, Joseph and Mary Green and Frank and Judy Green.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday, March 26 ^th from 10:30 – 11:30am followed by a funeral home service starting at 11:30am.  A private burial will be held in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the William Joseph Lane Memorial Scholarship, c/o Lyynn Jones, Syracuse University, 640 Sky Top Road, 2 ^nd Floor, Syracuse, NY 13244.
