CHELMSFORD, MA – Nancy J. Marino, 60, formerly of West Springfield died Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after a short battle with a rare form of cancer. Nancy was born in Springfield attended Springfield Schools and was a 1971 graduate of the Food and Catering Program at the former Trade High School in Springfield. On December 2, 1972 she married Louis A. Marino and moved into the family home on Riverdale Street, West Springfield, where they lived for 25 years. 1n 1997 they moved to Ayer, MA and in 2010 they moved to Chelmsford, MA. Nancy worked in the Kitchens of Springfield Hospital and Providence Hospital until she became disabled with Crohn's Disease in 1976. She leaves her husband of 38 years Louis A. Marino; a son Louis G. Marino and his wife Nannette of Chelmsford; a brother Richard L. Laird of South Hamilton; two granddaughters Destiny A. O'Brien of Leominster and Luigiella M. Marino of Chelmsford and her Jack Russell Terrier "Sadie". The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday July 9, 2011 at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
