Nancy Ann (Schramm) McLean, 77 of Harwich Road, born in Philadelphia
April 15, 1939 to the late William and Ruth Schramm. Predeceased by her husband and soulmate Harold "Hal" McLean in 2004. Nancy was a proud, long time chair of the V.F.W/American Legion Tuesday night Pitch League. A member of the St. Patrick's Committee since 1994, Nancy won the groups 'Jinx' Powers Award in 2011, marching with her family in the annual Holyoke St. Patrick's Day Parade. Nancy also was an elected official of the Democratic Town Committee as well as a member of the Ramapogue Historical Society. Nancy was known to enjoy her trips to the casinos, including gambling at the real Monte Carlo. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoying her trips to Fenway. Nancy leaves her daughters Christine Palazzo and her husband Mike,Catherine McLean and her partner Normand Proulx, and Cynthia Pelletier and her husband Rodney. She leaves her much-loved grandchildren Erica McLean, Jason and Brian Palazzo, Rachel Pelletier, and Harold McLean. Nancy also cherished her great-grandchildren Toby, Maddox, Andrew, Kaelyn, Catherine, and Anna. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and long time friends. The family would like to thank caregivers, Cindy Lacaprucia and Shannon Dahill, who provided such compassionate care throughout Nancy's long illness. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, July 5th between 4pm-8pm at Curran-Jones Funeral Home 109 Main Street, West Springfield. Committal service will be Wednesday, July 6th at 11:30am at Paucatuck Cemetery.
