FEEDING HILLS – Natalie D. (Parrott) Muchmore, 87, of Belvidere Avenue died Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Natalie was born in Unionville, CT, grew up in West Springfield and has lived in Feeding Hills for the past 4o years. She worked as a sponge maker for 46 years at Springfield Wire Company. Her husband Edward Muchmore Jr. died in 1974 and a daughter Althea Veighey died in 2010. She leaves a son Edward Muchmore III and his wife Dorothy of Westbrook, ME; a daughter Nancy A. Muchmore and her companion James Van Dyke of Feeding Hills; sister Cheryl Donatini and her husband Daniel of Feeding Hills; son-in-law Richard Veighey of Feeding Hills sister-in-law Teresa Parrott of West Springfield; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a great great grandson. Besides her husband and daughter, Natalie was predeceased by her siblings Dede White, Buddy, Georgie and Mickey Parrott. The family would like to thank the Mercy Life staff and Amber Veighey for their compassion and support during this difficult time. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
