Westfield – Nicholas J. Rios, 25, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon.  Nicholas resided in Springfield, before moving to Westfield at the age of ten,  Nicholas graduated from Westfield High School.  He worked at the Westfield YMCA Summer camps and the Y's Kids Program.  Nicholas became a paraprofessional to continue with his passion of teaching children.  He loved to travel, hang out with his many best friends, going to different restaurants, being outside at the beach and enjoyed hiking and especially cliff diving.  Nicholas thoroughly enjoyed and loved babysitting for the Lebeau and Bonavita families.  He leaves his parents Marisol Garcia, and Juan Rios and his wife Beth, Jilleva Cunningham who loved him as a son, as did her family, his siblings Zachary and Alexis Rios, Diego and Jaylene Delgado, his grandmothers Maria Ortiz and Margarita Gonzalez and her husband Julio Ocasio.  Nicholas was predeceased by a brother Jonathan Rios.  Nicholas will be missed by his Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins along with his many many friends, whom he thought of as family.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 11:00am.  Visiting hours will be Monday 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association.
