Norma Cavallon Riendeau
1914-2012
WEST SPRINGFIELD-Norma (Chiarini) Cavallon Riendeau, 97, died Sunday in Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was born in West Springfield and lived here most of her life. She was a member of the former St. Ann Church, the St. Ann Society and the West Springfield Senior Center. Norma worked at Strathmore Paper Company for many years and loved to make homemade Italian pasta, tortellini and pastries. She was predeceased by her first husband Victor Cavallon in 1960, her second husband Charles Riendeau in 1993, her brother Armando Chiarini and her granddaughter Donna (Leshinski) Mattson. She leaves a daughter Barbara Leshinski and her husband John of West Springfield, a son Jack Cavallon and his wife Susan of West Springfield, four grandchildren Rick and Darin Leshinski, Gregory Cavallon and Karen (Cavallon) Stringer and six great grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church (Immaculate Conception) at 10 am. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
